There’s a real dearth of quality boating video content because boats are A: expensive and B: hard to film. The only stuff that really goes viral is the sensationalist stuff. It’s a shame because it’s a super cool world with lots of noise and horsepower.

The number of people actually getting hurt or dying in fast boats is shockingly low. I’ve been around speed boats (100+ mph) my whole life and I’ve never come close to a serious incident. It takes some obscenely stupid behavior to get yourself in trouble. Most trips above 100 mph look exactly like this:

Mine’s not as bad as that BaT example but it it’s no cherry either. It’s a MN car and while I won’t abuse it I’m not going to baby it. I bought it as a workhorse and I’ll drive it until it falls apart.

With the towing package and proper adjustments, 7000lbs. That boat/trailer combo is about 6000.

FOOLS. It’s the same thing I recommended to Mr. Caswell this past weekend, and it’s the same thing I’ll keep recommending until it stops being such a damn good car (never)! It’s the Roadmaster Wagon! It will haul five kids and all of their hockey gear (ask me how I know)! It has all the class you could ever imagine

Other than mileage, it might just be the best all-around vehicle I’ve ever encountered. In the three months I’ve owned it I’ve had six or more people in it at least five times, saving us a 2nd car. I’m towing a Uhaul trailer for my move on Wednesday. It swallows boxes and boxes of junk for said move. My dog has ample

Not mine. I just wish it was.

LT1 Roadmaster with the tow package. It is rated for 7000 pounds, seats 8, has wood paneling, has a Corvette V8, and is more comfortable than anything on your list by a country mile. And the best part? This big boat only cost me $2500.

As a reader of other Kinja sites, I want to welcome you to the platform! Also, as a reader of other Kinja sites, I want to dash any hopes you may have for the search bar to prove useful. If you need to find anything, go to google and search “AV Club [whatever you actually want to find].”

I’ve never been to LOTO but it’s on my list. And I know the Spirit run was abnormal. Before that the record was 227 IIRC. Hell even breaking 200 is something one or two boats might do each year. The last few shootouts its really been between Low Altitude and American Ethanol if they both show up.

In case it wasn’t in the episode, here’s the video of the Spirit of Qatar going from 30 to 244mph in the span of a mile at the Lake of the Ozarks.

CLEGANEBOWL!!!!

No matter which team you root for last year was heart-wrenching. Toyota winning would be a feel-good type of deal.

You’re all wrong, though Raph did get closest. What you need is what everybody needs and is what I just bought, a Buick Roadmaster Estate LT1:

It’s my dad’s car so I don’t know it too well haha. No problems as far as I know but I haven’t researched much. And I don’t know the options list since he just loaded it up.

I’m sitting in one as I type and my advice is DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT.

I read this article while literally sitting inside of one.

1994 Toyota Tercel, I’ll just quote the entire listing:

No.

Thanks! I’m usually the one answering that question so it felt silly to ask, but I genuinely didn’t know that one.
