I went 8800GTX (2006) > 285 (2009) > 570 (2010)> 680 (2012, I put this into a video processing workstation) > 980 (2014) and will probably get a 1080 (mostly so I can put my 980 into my portable gaming rig which has a 960 in it now...) So, every 2-3 years or so depending on what I’m building and what I have in stock.
