Yes, we have certainly "evolved" haven't we in the 21st Century? We have nutjobs like Kim Jung Un who loves his people so much, he puts them in camps and murders them whenever his weak little mind feels threatened. [No religion here]. Then, we have Vladimir Putin, who thinks it grand to want to invade his neighbor.

To me, it seems obvious that the Russians have basically copied the Israeli Merkava MBT. The Merkava had a very low turret and of course, its unconventional front engine design. Of course, the Merkava debuted in 1979, so the Russians are a little late to the party...

It's funny. I just watched an episode of "Dream Car Garage" with Peter Klutt. It was a rebroadcast of a program done in 2012. He said the same thing. The Testarossa was a poster car much like a Countach and would have been alongside a picture of Farah Fawcett. Yes indeed, the car was a symbol of wretched excess. And,

By far the best looking of all the RX-7 variants. That era produced some fine cars including the NSX and Supra. Wish Mazda had a halo car like this again.

Nice

It is when you compare it to say, a 1974 Carrera RS 3. for example. Sorry pal, but new Porsches are leviathans next to the air cooled versions. Don't believe me? Just line them up and you will see what I mean. You have to admit that a normal 991 is indeed ponderous. Don't get all butt hurt over it. Here is a nice

Honestly, I would love to see them race on a dedicated road course. Either Road America or the long course at Watkins Glen. Laguna Seca would be great too, but it is a little short for the cars to really stretch their legs. In my fantasy world, the WEC and IMSA tudor series would be combined. There could be the LMP1

Having watched the 911 evolve through the years from the first one, it never ceases to amaze me how much smaller and more compact the air cooled versions were. The newer ones like ponderous and huge in comparison. And, nothing can beat the sound of an air cooled Porsche flat 6 cylinder.

Good for you. Nothing wrong with spending a little time for yourself. IMSA back in the 80s was about the greatest racing I have ever seen and the cars were as good as anything I have seen as well outside of the Can Am series.

Actually, about 60K. Not bad for a car that can almost run 10s in the quarter.

Good. Well, at least you have experienced a mild burnout. Now, add about 600 m0re hp and you will be deliriously happy.

Do you know anything about customers who are buying Hellcats? I can tell you first hand that they are going to people who have more money than they know what to do with. If they can afford the entry price of the Hellcat, plus gas, plus insurance, I am sure that tires are something considered small change.

Apparently, you have never driven a car capable of even doing a burnout. If you did, you would understand the appeal. Heck, my 1987 16v Scirocco did amazing burnouts and it only had 125 hp! There is something about slipping the clutch and hearing tires squeal for mercy.

It is. Jeeps and Ram trucks are selling like proverbial hotcakes.

Such good news. Racing at LeMans is the creme de la creme, but I would love to see the team run in GTLM too. Sounds like they are thinking about running the European series, which is still great to hear.

Rapahel, you have got to stop having articles like this. I am now living in the past again, which I do all too frequently anyways. Looks like I will have to dig out the video tapes and watch some races from 1988.

Tiff has an air of coolness about him that I have always found charming. He never seems to get ruffled about anything and his British wit is always ready to be loosed on people.

With Ganassi set to run the GT program in 2016 in Tudor and GTE, it would seem that maybe Ford wants out of the DP category. I read that Michael Shank wants to compete at LeMans with a P2 car, so I think you are right about it not being his choice. It sounds like Ford also wants to compete at LeMans with an LMP2 car,

I can't believe Shank is leaving Ford for Honda. However, that Ligier is gorgeous and the Honda is a very stout powerplant. I just hope that P2 cars can beat the DP cars this year. It seemed like in the BOP changes for 2014, the DP cars were made a little more equal than the P2 cars. The livery on this car certainly

Happy New Year to Tyler and fam. Looking forward to another year of informative and interesting articles. I learned a new word in 2014: Littoral. Never had heard the term before, but given the architecture of the ships, I should have made the connection. Anyway, onward and upward!
