Competition is always good. Monopoly is never good. Sounds to me that Delta is living by the maxim that GM used to have: "what is good for GM is good for America". Time to get the construction equipment fired up...

Yes! All is right with the world today. Tomorrow is another thing though...

Kat, I long for those smallish Toyota pickups. They were perfect for how most people would use them. They are utilitarian, but also cheap to produce and efficient at what they do. I find today's trucks to be hideously huge with enough avoirdupois to make a semi truck jealous. I have wanted a small, cheap truck for

5 star post here. Best one I have read today. If we could find a balance between costs, safety and allowing teams to innovate, we could recapture some of the glory of the 60s and 70s. This shouldn't be rocket science. Here is my plan: 1. Remove Bernie and disperse revenue more fairly 2. Continue to improve driver

You nailed it!

Driver reactions to it seemed mixed. I am all for having fewer interruptions in racing. NASCAR and the Tudor series come to mind. Keeping the action going while being safe for workers is the key here. Given that F1 [at the moment], does not have as many cautions and safety cars as the other two series mentioned, it is

Yeah, beat it out of them.

Really Einstein? I already made the correction. Guess you didn't read my other comments. Kind of late to the party, eh?

We doan need no stinkin' fuel efficient cars...

Unfortunately, Bernie has put his foot in his mouth so many times, it is something we have all come to expect. What do you I as a Jew felt about his admiration for Hitler? Funny, but when Bernie owned the Brabham team and was able to take over FISA and beat down that evil Jean Marie Balestre, he was a good guy. But,

Now playing

I don't quite understand why the cars sound the way they do. I have heard the turbo cars back in the turbo era. I remember the Renault Gordini in 1977 when I saw it race at Mosport, Canada. It sounded great, V6 and all. The Hondas, Tag-Porsches, Ferraris, BMWs and Harts all were deep and muscular sounding in the

So right. The teams that are clawing for survival just hanging on by their fingers are having their fingers stepped on, then pried away from the hold that they have. It is so wrong, but having followed F1 since 1966, nothing surprises me anymore. I am just glad that I was into F1` in the 60s and 70s before things got

If this doesn't scare anyone, than nothing will...

I know. Still, one would hope that Bernie would have even one atom of compassion in his very bitter soul. I know he believes in survival of the fittest, but if he wants a full grid, he is going to have to give the lesser teams more bread crumbs from the table. But, knowing both Bernie and the FIA and their respective

Wish I could be there to join you Patrick. Hope all the Jalops have a great weekend. Think of the rest of us slobs watching from afar on TV. Having been to Formula 1 races, nothing compares to being there in person. Don't party too much!

Christian Horner said during the NBC broadcast that Seb will indeed take part in qualifying.

No big surprise here. Lewis loves this track and he is on such a roll, it would be crazy to bet against him this weekend. Nevertheless, I hope that Nico beats him to tighten up the points race.

Lucky you!

I hate this engine rule. So stupid. Back in the day, teams even had special engines for qualifying. I know this is all being done for cost reasons, but this isn't endurance racing. It is F1 and as the pinnacle of all motorsports, good engines should be available to put on the best show.
