Think of it less as “deserved” and more as: 1) the radio station did not want to deal with the mega hit to their ratings by keeping her on the show; and 2) they had legitimate grounds to terminate their contract with her. “Deserved” or not, she definitely brought it on herself.

I had a similar experience with going to law school. I went from a world where I was “pretty smart” to a world where I was just meh. It was a pretty humbling experience.
