I always thought they could have fixed Tron:Legacy just by having CLU be a MCP corrupted copy that Flynn did not know had been modified. Just have a few frames as Clu is defeated where you see flashes of the MCP and Sark

Not true , there are tracking LEDs embedded in the back of the rift headband, the rift sensor sees them if you turn around. Plus there is the onboard IMU.
