I saw the SuckerPunch Blu-Ray for like $5 at Walmart the other day here in the States. Also, are retailers bundling the two together there? If so, that's kinda cool.

Nah, I just got up at 8:30, started the downloads and went back to sleep only to get up a few minutes ago (12:30).

I can't stand all the pre-rendered environments for one, everything looks so fake as opposed to the charm the 16-bit games brought. X isn't as bad with this though as at least the characters and such blend in with the environment. I think that the game loses the tight storytelling it had going for it once it leaves…

I actually really enjoyed it until the game left Midgar, then I was overwhelmed with the overall frustrating PS1-ness of the game. I'm just trying to say that A) A remake could fix that. B) Sqeenix should stop selling there other games short just because this is the one that developed a huge following.

I played it for the first time a couple of years ago after being hyped that it's the best thing ever. It was not. Nearly as good or fun as IV and VI.

Not trolling, if you read my follow up comments you could tell. I just wanted to make a comment that was simple enough for people to understand that I believe Final Fantasy VII to be a very inherently terrible game because it is. Thanks for noticing the ol' rule of three though!

As I said to King Kellog it doesn't hold up and needs fixed. For the record, Oblivion is also a terrible game, so this isn't some Western vs. Japanese RPG thing from me, I just don't think Squeenix knows what they're saying when they say they haven't topped VII. They easily have, hell, they did with a VII spin-off…

It's so horribly dated that it's impossible to play if you didn't grow up with it. A remake could fix these problems. I mean, IV-VI hold up and I-III have modern remakes, but the years have not been kind to PS1 games.

VII sucked, I want a remake because the original sucked and I feel that a remake would fix how much it sucked. Stop it Squeenix, just stop...

I kinda liked the movies, especially Bender's Big Score and Bender's Game. Although too be honest, I can barely remember anything from them barring those two. I mean, the only thing from the last I really remember is the ending and the "King of Beers" gag, I don't know why I loved that so much.
