This is why the right to repair is so important, also check the warranty. (and the small print).

This Jalop thinks needing to get around in the Rockies in winter is a pretty niche’y consideration even for those who delight in road trips, and that wagons are (or were, when they were more of a thing) bought at least as much for in-town chores as for cross country adventures.
People, I think, forget how this is supposed to work. At a minimum, if the car is in line with other asking prices online, you can’t call it ND. Particularly if there’s nothing obviously significantly wrong with it - like in this case. A quick Autotrader search seems to place $7200 at the high end of asking for 9-3…
lol this is not a beater and $2500 these days is getting into beater territory
Jeep Renegade. The 1.4T with a stick was a base trim option, and the best one.
No. My XJR is much, much better than a base model XJ in every single way.
THIS guy gets it
Mechanical parts are surprisingly cheap and easy to find, at least in Europe. Honestly, it’s one of the cheaper cars to run.
Just bought a 2008 Aero 2.0 Sportcombi with 82K and an automatic (sad, but true—I couldn’t find a manual in decent shape that wasn’t paired to the diesel.) Paid about half as much as this one, which I think was a good deal. But, if I could have found one this rust-free on my side of the Atlantic, I’d *absolutely* have…
Super easy NP! Look at other 2008 MY vehicles you can buy for this money and this is among the most desirable.
Edited for spelling after my second cup of coffee.
It’s a SAAB. Exclusive. European. GM guts (cheap to maintain, repair and overall reliable). It’s got a 6 speed manual. Wagon. 2.0T engine that can easily be modded to make good power. Parts still available from local vendors and online businesses, and GM specific parts are there in spades. While the price for this is…
I had 3 Saabs in the family back in the day, an 05' 9-5 Sedan, followed by an ‘07 9-5 Aero SportCombi, and the partner drove an 06' 9-3 Sedan.
We LOVED those cars. The perfect everyday car. BUT, once they hit 120k, I was spending so much time maintaining them. Seat bolsters wore out on the faux part of the leather seat…
This world you live in - this world of $40k cars depreciating to 5% of their original price in 15 years. Where is the door? I really need a 911 GT3 but only have $10k.
What parts? The engine and tranny are solid. Just keep an eye on rust and electrics. These are good cars.
California car, desirable wagon/stick combo, new clutch and tires, excellent condition, all repair receipts, 2nd owner, decent color combo... and in this market? At least $5K and it’s priced such that he’ll probably get at least 6.
WHY AM I STILL GREYED OUT?
These are fantastic cars. Mostly GM underpinnings and parts, aftermarket is plentiful for anything else. Not much goes wrong.
A little pricey, but within bargaining range.
G35/37. can even find one with a stick if you are lucky. I am not a fan, but they fit the criteria.
