Well said. Totally agree.

These all need to die in a fire. “Sporty” is such a meaningless word these days when they are applied to an obese hatchback on stilts. Yes, it has a nuclear bomb for an engine. But you can’t beat physics.

Keep politics out of it. Especially US, I am not from there.

Cool you do you bro. Ill still call out these trends as stupid. Stupid looking and stupid mechanically. Drive your car, dont ruin it.

No. Stance is dumb. Slammed is even more dumb. It is OK to lower a tad for handling etc. but slammed on the ground looks idiotic.

But that choice of transportation is ruining the modern automotive industry. Killing off the sport sedan, the manual, the focus on chassis dynamics and driving altogether. These are the anti-enthusiast machine and if you are an enthusiast, you should hate them too.

No, I like sport sedans. With a manual. And hot hatches. With a manual. Drive both of those daily. But that is just me.

No, this is a really fast and loud boring appliance. Difference there.

The entire segment is so stupid and pointless. Everything that is wrong with the modern automotive industry.

It is a BMW. More BMW badges on it than Toyota.

Because its a BMW. Better factory BMW offerings out there to race.

No manual? I will have a GT350 thanks. Believe it or not, there are still some of us who want a manual with our sports car.

Nice that all you guys think 4 seat convertibles look good. Looks are in the eye of the beholder and all that. You do you. I am of the mind that convertibles should be 2 seaters, otherwise they look ungainly. Never been a drop-top guy at all, honestly.

The top 2 dont have back seats, lets not kid ourselves here. The old boat I do not care about, that Caddy does not exist, and that Roller I guess looks OK in a Saudi prince kind of way.

I am not 70, so yes, I am sure.

No, it doesn’t. Leave the roof on and open the sunroof if you want some sun on your dome.

I love the styling. Subdued, unlike the overwrought designs of late. Also, the transmission switch happened midway in 2007, not 2009.

Evidence? Talking to my local Maserati technician, he says the QP is actually one of the most reliable cars he has ever worked on, and that includes his background with Volvo. Basic maintenance keeps these cars on the road, and the cam phaser issue is easy to spot and well known.

With the Maser and the ZF, it is basically maintenance. Oil changes, bushings, brakes, fluids...etc. etc. Only thing that is touchy is the cam phasers, and those are well known and easy to spot. I would hazard to say the QP is actually a reliable car. Parts are not too bad either actually.

M139 is fairly reliable actually as long as you got 2007+ with the automatic.
