I agree. I want buttons to push and a good driving experience. The reason I am driving is to drive, not to stare at a TV screen within my eyeline. I like what the Giulia did and Mazda 3 did with their screens - they are integrated and unobtrusive.

outright speed isn’t everything. It is about the driving experience most of all.

Not talking down at all. As a manual enthusiast I would have thought you would echo my sentiments. Good for you for driving manual.

Hahaha it is not a case of affording. I choose to buy the cars I buy, because they are better. My R53 Mini JCW is better than any newer one, I love the supercharger. That is my winter car. My Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 Zender is not 10, but 22 years old. It is a modern classic and a touring car homologation car. I would

Someone needs to continue to stick up for manuals. If you have given up, that is fine. I have not.

No manual? Don’t care. I don’t care that is the way the market is going blah blah...MY sport sedans have manual transmissions. Always have, always will.

Not saying that, but they were an example of a company that offered manuals in all their trim levels to their customers. Offering a manual, especially in today’s market, will not make or break a model’s sales.

you are an idiot

If that is your problem...live somewhere else. I drive in traffic every day, but not that bad.

now don’t be like that. Those are not the same as a transmission which is about the drive and car control...the things you care about in your sport sedan.

They did it for their entire existence. And they went away because GM strangled them out of existence slowly, not because they offered a maual on their cars. They still offered automatics too, but manual take rate was high in Saabs.

I have fun every time I drive my cars. Because they are manual.

Demand is fairly dead, agreed. That is because demand for cars...period...is dead. Soon cars, sport sedans especially, will be bought by enthusiasts only, just like sports cars. Then it makes sense to give them the good stuff.

No, Sab doesnt exist anymore because they were strangled out of existence by GM. Offering a manual in their cars kept the few enthusiasts loyal to the brand.

But they put it on the base model. The 3.3T AWD should have a manual option too.

Idiot. No. It is not about being faster. It is about engagement and being connected to the car. Doing things yourself and enjoying every single aspect about actually DRIVING.

See? It is not all about money. Sometimes doing the right thing by enthusiasts is the right thing to do.

All of that means nothing when nobody wants one. It has absolutely zero sex appeal. No kids will put its poster on the wall. It looks like crap and sounds like crap and all that tech means nothing to the people who actually buy one.

That was not the point. I was not commenting on the show itself, but the rabid fanbase Porsche has in the community right now. Look at values of...any used Porsche. They are insane. Media fawn over a new 911 model that has...something different but I cannot fathom what it is. Corvette or just about any other brand

Thank you. Best reply yet. Hat tip to you sir.
