At least you guys still have some subsidies. In Ontario here we have none anymore...and guess what? Nobody is buying EVs. Nobody. All of them are being shipped to Quebec where the incentives still are in place. Screw the future and the environment, I want my new truck!

exactly - the wannabe Orange Dictator can’t (yet) just revoke things because he doesn’t like a decision a private company made. Unless there is a clause that says GM cant have subsidies if it lays off workers, they are legally entitled to those EV credits.

What is this obsession with off-roading in all vehicles these days? Not that many people actually are offroad enthusiasts in real life. I know like 2, and I am part of a few car clubs and go to many cruise nights. Body cladding, raised ride heights all over...you would mistake 70% of the driving public in their SUVs…

...I totally agree. That was my whole point. They have to be the mods I wanted in the first place, and they have to be done right. This Abarth 500 features neither of those (intake I could live with).

The price is right. So it will be cheaper than a Tesla and probably better built. And no cult-like status associated with it. Bring on the Chinese EVs!

You are welcome. Reliability is overblown in North America. My Alfa has been rock solid, and it is 22 years old now and has racing cams. My R53, even after mods, was solid too except for a window regulator. My Saab has never gone wrong, despite being modded. I do my own crawling, thank you very much.

again, the transmission was killed I am sure by the reckless driving and that god awful lever. The Abarth 500 got totally different suspension as well as brakes, cooling, and engine over the standard model. I have driven more than one Abarth very hard and they never showed any signs of being over-driven. If anything,…
