The Brera certainly was pretty, but actually drove worse than its predecessors (916 GTV6 being notable). Also, it had the wrong engines in it. No Busso = no bueno.

That grille goes all the way back to the earliest Alfas, and is a distinguishing mark of the brand. It makes the cars look unique and instantly recognizable.

OK another Jalop editor spouting off about the 90s Alfa Romeo, when probably he has not driven a single one. Even with FWD, they drove fantastic because Alfa put a lot of effort into the suspension. The 916 GTV6 is a guaranteed future classic, Pininfarina styled and car/engine of the year winner. Yeah...disposable…

Again, it was not a joke. My wife hates my driving and is basically a human chime anytime I do something that with the car that doesn’t meet her standards.

No the Fiat is not nearly the car the Alfa was, despite sharing a platform. Still, it was far from overly meh, it was meh in basic spec, but some others such as the wagon or turbo were not meh.

It is really nice but for $50K it would need to be perfect. It isn’t, so CP...but not by much.
