There is a movement in the media to stop using the word ‘mistress’ since there is no male equivalent and it reinforces traditional ideas about gender relationships. I’m usually not picky about things but it would be cool if Jez could be a leader in this area and simply referred to her as an alleged lover.

“To a certain extent you missed the point by asking that question, however, I understand that within that question is your desire to be black.”

Feels at times like Sandberg gets some unwarranted hate. She herself wasn’t a trust fund baby; she has a middle class background. I get that she is now one of the untouchable .0001% and thus may seem a bit out of touch with the “common woman” at times, but she didn’t start out that way.

The first season was incredible--a slow burn taking a few episodes to heat up--but the second season was a huge miss.

Plus, Rose didn’t love him. There was room on that door.

Sometimes, victims of rape will try to rationalize the assault or pretend that nothing happened because it’s easier than dealing with the trauma. People deal with trauma in different ways, and unless you’ve been there it’s really tough to understand.

You know what gets me? This was the first thing I thought of: how Ono seems to be throwing a little shade Sean’s way, take that Sean, etc. And then I realized—

Good idea! My shop is argylestreetcandles.etsy.com

I’m quite a fan of your work—you are very talented!

I’m the Jezzie that requested this order and I love how it turned out! Cannot wait to receive it. Thanks Pie-Pie!

I think I’m going to do a sampler with “wipe that face off your head, bitch” for my office/crafty room. It’s been a while since I’ve done any subversive cross stitch. This was the last one I did for someone who was quitting her job.

Whoa, I love it!! I wish I could cross stitch. Definitely agree on the metallic floss, it’s the stuff of nightmares. I usually use DMC too, since it’s easily available, but really like the Krenik brand. I found it much easier to work with, but it’s more expensive.

I’m still knitting a scarf. I want to finish it before I start the hats I promised my boys. But my eldest kidling won red ribbons at a local country fair for her photograph and sculpture:

I ordered a really cool foldy paper kit that is supposed to turn into a fox. So far i just have crampy hands and folded paper bits.
