Part of X-Files’ charm is how it always took actual conspiracy theories and used them on the show. By the time the original nine seasons were over, they’d put pretty much every single conspiracy theory that existed up to that point into the mythology.

Indeed, between all the anti-vax scaremongering and the chem trail talk by Mr. Infowars wannabe, I couldn’t help feeling like ‘The X-Files’ had become a bad parody of itself with last nights finale episode.

They blamed everything in the episode — vaccines, chemtrails, electromagnetic waves. It was like a blender full of conspiracy theories.

I kinda rolled my eyes at the chemtrails too.

So from what I’ve heard, it might more more accurate to name it “All Your Worst Fears About The X-files Were Right.”
