Who Framed Roger Rabbit had nothing to do with Chinatown. It was originally a book, by author Gary K. Wolf called ‘Who Censored Roger Rabbit?’. The book was a very noir detective story blended with a very strange interpretation of Toons as living beings cohabiting with humans in an alternate earth.

Ill have to rewatch, but I’m pretty sure the first shot of the tunnel showed it wasn’t just a straight corridor, but had other paths. And yeah, Reva definitely intuited that Leia was heading to the port and went straight there.... presumably with much less parkour, since she beat her there😉

I still have my original copy. It is super pretty, and the writing mostly still good too.

I don’t think Reva took the tunnel. She probably figured where it was heading and got to the port through other means.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how Obi-Wan and Vader leave things once this series is over.

Why would Owen, who is beyond dead set on keeping Luke a life-long farmer, (maybe with the support of Beru, we never get much of a read on her as to how she feels about Luke’s dreams of leaving) give Luke a spaceship toy which would only encourage his dreams of being a pilot. Getting such a toy from Obi-Wan would make

The only thing I haven’t really liked so far is what I assume is a signature of Deborah Chow’s directing style

So was Die Hard With a Vengence.  Started as a completely unrelated script called “Simon Says”.

Did you enjoy I, Robot?

AKA - Seth Macfarlane’s new cock socket which will be written off next season..

She’s joking around about Luke’s height five minutes after her whole planet gets genocided. A New Hope just didn’t have time for a lot of emotional consequences.

“A do-over of the comic series this lifted the title from.”

Callbacks can be done right. I don’t think it’s too much of an issue if it’s just something that’s done in passing. They don’t make a big deal out of the toy. It’s more of an issue when they try to impart something small with special meaning or do it with something really big, like in Solo. Solo went really hard at it

Agreed. The direction is not great, Leia’s chase scenes made me want to turn it off and never come back.  Not a strong start for the series, but still probably better than Halo so far.

Everybody should take a page from Kevin Smith; Val’s performance in the Jay and Silent Bob reboot was perfect.

100% agreed. After the 2nd, I always thought the 3rd was surprisingly good for having to follow that up.

“On the other hand, a few scenes later Grant very specifically says nothing in the world could get him to go back to the island and then, in the very next scene, the promise of money does just that. It’s a huge betrayal of a beloved character and a major black mark on the movie.” I disagree with this. His character

Maybe my memory is way off but isn’t that a response to Luke asking if she remembers her “real mother”?

Last I heard, he died fighting a mummy in a retirement community.

“Everything Everywhere...” makes a VERY strong argument about who that “new” actor should be....
