He’s an excellent director... on a scene by scene basis. He’s fantastic at casting and puts his all into making every scene as intense and emotional and action-packed and thrilling as it could possibly be. He will wring everything he can out of every moment.

He never learned anything. Everything about his career was handed down to him from his daddy who had the Hollywood connections.

Does he though?

Sure, the problem is not once has he ever shown he actually has that plan, which is why he’s not the guy for that...yet somehow people keep handing him the keys to the car lol.

I mean, even Jar Jar himself - criticize the character, sure, but he was the first fully CG character in a live action movie. What is now commonplace in about every Marvel movie and made a name for Andy Serkis with Gollum in Lord of the Rings started here, with Jar Jar Binks and Ahmed Best in The Phantom Menace.

“...Warner Bros. TV has reviewed 10 of the eight scripts for the drama...”

that’s what I call due diligence!

I was 11 when it came out and I’ve long said that it’s the best age to watch that movie - you’re old enough to understand the plot and the characters, but you’re not so old that you find Jar Jar annoying or the podracing scene too long. It’s just one cool thing flying at you after another - “NOW THIS IS PODRACING!”

I was a junior in HS at the time, unknown to me my mom purchased opening midnight show tickets for myself and my Dad to The Phantom Menace.

“Honestly, a lot of that first movie makes less and less sense with every new addition to the series. But that’s okay. The entire franchise has been developed on the fly without a real plan.”

The Script: a mysterious energy field created by screenwriters that binds the galaxy together.

That’s my worry from it to be honest.

Think of it as a 3 hour movie and watch it all in one sitting.

Yeah I thought it made straightforward sense, so the idea that we need two seasons of a show to explain why a dude would shoot a dude when the reasons were pretty obvious is bizarre.

It has a 47% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. Hardly seems like “a handful.”

And an almost fanatical dedication to the Emperor... Their *four*... No... Amongst their weapons... Amongst their weaponry are such elements as fear, sur-... We’ll come in again.

As the famous tweet says, “Peterson looks like the guy who steals blood from the blood-bank for Dracula.”

I saw this description elsewhere on the interwebs but it described him as: “Looking like one of Dracula’s henchmen that gets sent to the hospital to steal blood” and it’s 100% accurate.

Some of the fandom are toxic crybabies AND the sequel trilogy is terrible garbage. Both things can be true.

As wacky and goofy as his ideas for the sequel trilogy sounded, they were honestly more interesting than what we ended up getting. At this point in my life, I’d rather watch something that’s bad but interesting and made out of love than something that is forgettable and made so the CEO can raise the forecasted revenue
