I will say that for kids who saw the prequels at the right point in their lives, they now have a much deeper understanding of the perils our own nation currently faces. I mean, get on any gen-z political forum and there’s loads of meming, quoting, or referencing Revenge of the Sith. It’s wild.

Anakin is a pawn.

What do you think he tells you once you’re asleep?

‘I signed my likeness away. Every time I look in the mirror, I have to send [George Lucas] a couple of bucks’- Carrie Fisher.

But what about witches riding Rancors?

Agreed on the villain status.  I’d say a far more fascinating villain was Norah Satie from “The Drumhead”.  It’s the one episode of TNG that I always go back to every now and then.  What she embodied was the sort of evil shit that DS9 would start to pick out and say “look, look here.  The Federation and Starfleet

Fair enough. I’m happy to see someone who doesn’t think I’m off my rocker about this overall point.

Khan is interesting to me because... well... honestly, I thought no one could match William Shatner in his ability to chew scenery, but then Mr. Montelban came along.

But I think the most interesting thing about the character is that he had the potential to turn out different, he had the capacity to love and he was

Seems like they missed out on a fun joke by not also casting Rebecca Romijin as Nurse Chapel, and just never drawing attention to it.

Dude, you’re a mark.

Even worse they have to acknowledge and try to gloss over retrofuture stuff like the Eugenics Wars, which really should have been left behind as soon as we got into the 90s.

Gasp! You want to get rid of the Bondage Aliens from Planet Death Metal? What kind of Star Wars fan are you?!

Awww. I don’t care that he feels horribly miscast. Let the man throw exploding playing cards, dangit!

I’m taking that as a up-vote for The Final Frontier. Sir, you have my sword!

I feel like describing it as “claims to have seen (and liked)“ all the other Batman movies makes it some kind of gargantuan undertaking when it’s really not that many films. 1966, 1989, 1992, 1995, 1997, 2005, 2008, 2012, 2016...

“I don’t think Joe Rogan is as personally reprehensible as Richard Spencer but his irresponsible podcast is literally getting people killed.”

My god you’re really serious about this “Woodstock generation” bullshit aren’t you? That’s pathetic, man. Two Canadian Boomers doing good things doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority of white American Boomers are racist morons who voted for Donald Trump twice.

Pattinson has described this iteration of Batman as being like Kurt Cobain...now I love Nirvana....but this just screams shitshow to me, everything I hear about it.

I’ve been waiting for a movie that depicts Batman as “The World’s Greatest Detective”, not as “Iron Man in Black”. Hell, even the ‘60s show focused more on Batman’s intellect and puzzle-solving skills. Hoping that’s what we’ll be seeing in The Batman.
