I've only read the book, but Greenwald's speech after the trial was a beautiful twist.

Same here. I remember the radio song lineups in '83 consisted of: Bowie, Prince, The Eurythmics, Huey Lewis, Lionel Richie, and Michael Jackson. Mix in the occasional Laura Brannigan, Taco, or Falco (or Taco's tribute to Falco), sprinkle in a few bits of Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot, and there you have it!
Owen needs to get back together with Wes Anderson. Vince Vaughn has corrupted his soul.
I was 10 when "Let's Dance" came out. It was my first exposure to David Bowie and my young mind was blown. His new songs were played on every rock station I listened to back in the early 80's. He and Prince (and, um, Huey Lewis… ahem) made up about 80 percent of what I listened to in 5th and 6th grade.
Winslet was amazingly funny in her episode. The best part was when she's making the obscene gestures while mimicking phone sex and gets caught like a naughty schoolgirl.

Costello: Hey, that's a nice tapestry! Where was it made?
Abbott: Bayeux.
Costello: By me? I don't remember that.
Abbott: No, the tapestry is from Bayeux!
Costello: Well, if it's from by me I would have seen it in the neighborhood.
Abbott: No, no, the TOWN is Bayeux.
Costello: There are lots of towns by me! Which one is it?
A…
It's alright, he didn't turn it on.

The short answer is, "Yes."
Love the "Ren & Stimpy" callout from The Simpsons.
Heat death of the universe? It's a date!
Götterdämmerung, you're right! I screwed up the title.
It's definitely in my Top 2, although I have to give "Opera" the nod.
