You can customize them in this one, and you’d better believe mine is modeled after my actual cat.
We didn’t even get an initial season write up (unless this counts as one?) the way other shows they have dropped coverage get (ie they did do an initial review for this season of The Magicians even though they’re dropping individual reviews). It all seems a bit suspect to me since G&F (and the very different The…
I think this season had a significant dip in quality—but I still agree with you. There was much to discuss, and, as is becoming all too common on AVClub, it’s baffling that they continue to review Modern Family, for example, and drop shows like this.
My thoughts exactly, the men have, in my opinion, been given a mostly smooth sailing plot (bar the petty marriage arguments) while the ladies go through hell yet again. It was painful to watch and just makes me hate the males on the show further. The writing this season seemed mainly at giving the girls one blow after…
It’s ok, bros. You don’t need a TV channel, because you have each other’s support. Bros before shows
This was a fantastic episode, but Chidi’s reliance on Kant is really starting to tire. Especially since a scholar like him should know that lying being universally immoral is one of the most easily subverted conclusions formed from Kantian ethics.
All four of them in formal wear, honestly. This is one hell of an attractive cast.
I can’t believe I’m rooting for a team this weekend to go to the Super Bowl because a dead character loves his quarterback. Go Bortles
Kristen Bell in Diana’s horned-rim glasses was a total smokeshow. The most unrealistic element of the show might be Chidi still resisting her after she has openly declared her feelings for him.
Willy Wanka’s.
One commenter above (or maybe below, I have no idea how this platform organizes comments) mentioned that Rebecca’s IQ seems to have dropped drastically from the earlier seasons: from ingenious and cunning to “spaz”.
I think that’s kind of the point? I don’t have the impulsive features of BPD, but I do have Complex…
taco bell has chicken?
I measure an actor’s worth by the number of times they’ve worn fake dicks.
I’d have gone with either “beat up a Vietnamese shop owner” or “founded the Funky Bunch,” but I like your creative direction.
Yet no one says a thing about the *all female* nominees for Best Actress.
Oh it definitely isn’t. Nominating that dreck over ‘The Good Place’ is indication. Also nominating the ‘The Tourist’ back in ‘11.
Sick burn, Phil Not Phil.
I binged on this series in the last week or so, after reading the main character had been diagnosed with BPD. Then I wrote about what it is like to see a diagnosis I still struggle with having reflected on television: https://medium.com/badvocals/borderline-reflected-7515469db8a0
I forget the exact line, but when Darryl was spitballing baby names and said “‘Shetonka’, it means lady truck” I died. It’s been a rough past month for me, but I’m so happy this show is back (as well as these reviews!!).
