When the credits rolled and “I’m a Good Person” started playing, I actually started shouting at my TV because that was really the best song they could end it on (that perfect match of being thematically great and jarringly bouncy and fun) and I was mad I didn’t see it coming.

Was that “You Stupid Bitch” playing over the last scene? I couldn’t quit make it out.

Yep. I’d argue that, even with the drop in quality, I still enjoyed every episode of this season more than any episode of the Simpsons in the last year and they’ll be covering the Simpsons until we’re all long dead. If they covered season 4 of Grace and Frankie then decided to stop reviews, I would totally get that

Why were there no AVClub reviews for this season? Clearly there’s a lot to talk about, the show did not see a significant dip in quality at the end of season 3, and as far as I can tell the contributor doing the reviews for season 3 is still writing for the site. Why, when there’s so many shows to review, is AVClub

Unrelated question (but there’s no public forum to ask except for throwing tweets into the wind): WHERE DID THE BUTTON GO FOR NON-TV REVIEWS? I get that there’s a change in format with Kinja and I can understand that fewer shows are getting coverage (R.I.P. Grace and Frankie reviews), but I swear to god three months

Oops ignore me didn’t even put this in the right site

Thank you, Allison, for being all over these comments and engaging with as many people as possible. A lot of people just talk a big game about being open to conversation, and it’s so heartening to go into these comments and see so much love and support. You are fantastic and I hope you are having a good day.

I assumed she presented it to him as acupuncture rather than just “hey let me put needles in your face.” I would love to see what a good excuse would be for the penis flattener though.

I’m torn on these jokes. In one light, it looks like a coded call-out. In another it looks like everyone passing off his disgusting behavior as something funny, a “Harvey will be Harvey” kind of thing.

I can’t be the only one not stressing the casting, right? I think the casting of an Asian Heather Duke in the off-broadway musical inoculated me to the idea of a more diverse group of Heathers, but this was going to be a garbage fire of a show regardless of who played the trio. But I haven’t had a trashy teen drama to

Maybe it was because this was the first episode I watched with company instead of by myself, but this episode was the one that hooked me. Plus, I didn’t see the set up coming for “steal a meal from Neal McBeal the Navy SEAL” coming and lost my shit over that one.

For a minute there, I genuinely thought Cersei was going to have Jaime murdered. It just seemed like the perfect moment.

I was so confused when I saw Bojack on “What’s on Tonight” and was ready to get real mad AV Club was reviewing the new season episode by episode before anyone else got to watch it. Oops.

Can’t wait to spend another year wallowing in misery after I finish this season

So am I fucked if I just want to see review scores at a glance now? Whenever I saw a show that wasn’t on my radar getting consistently high scores (like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) I would often take that as a sign I should give it a shot, but now can you only see scores of you click on an individual review?
