I’ve had that happen twice where the dealer collects too much sales tax. At least in Texas if you collect too much tax and get audited by the state you can get into trouble. I’ve been audited by the state comptroller and it is no fun. So they are returning the money to cover their own asses.

Chrysler gets a lot of grief around here. But I recently was assigned a 300C as a rental while on business, and it was a fantastic car. Great interior, very comfortable—and it drove great. Plenty of power, and handled way better than I expected. I even started to get used to the goofy dial shifter...

Yet the Challenger has pretty consistently sold neck and neck with the all new 6th Gen Camaro....and the Charger absolutely OWNS it’s segment.
