Effects wise it's going to need to look more like this, & less like... well... the Hawkman from Smallville. Legion was a God awful movie, but the angels... Gabriel, in particular... looked bad ass & moved quite fluidly. Using the wings for attacks was also kind of cool.

The thing about "Small Potatoes" & "Arcadia" is that they were so damn funny. It was nice to, occasionally, have a lighter episode sprinkled in among the overall grimness of the season.

This was what Marv Wolfman expected to have happen at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths, a company line wide reboot of all their series. DC got cold feet, though, resulting in all the continuity problems that arose in the aftermath of the Crisis. Now, 25 years later they're returning to that original idea? This

I remember seeing house ads for a baseball game that pitted the DC Heroes against their respective villains. Never actually ran across the issue. Would have liked to have read the story. I imagine it was completely ridiculous.

So... something like this, then?

Why not be really ambitious & relaunch two ailing franchises with one film? Or bury them both at the same time, with a crazy epic send off & then move on to something brand new.

I'm hardly passing judgment. I made observations & inquiries garnered from the information at hand, both from the trailer & the provided plot synopsis. The film is clearly a low budget affair, most likely planned for an August release.

The black guy dies first? Seriously? Where did they get that shark cage? Those tend to be hard to come by at lake resorts. How much longer will man continue to abuse the noble shark? What's a hard working shark got to do to get work in a big budget tent pole summer release? It's all been down stream since Jaws.

I wonder what Fox Mulder thinks about all this. Could be there's the bare bones of a sequel plot in all this.

I expect that to be the case, as well. It's just so ridiculous to pull stunts like that. Typically, when they do this kind of thing, the title returns with a new creative team at the helm. Possibly even with a slight title change. From the get go, DC has botched his return to the greater DC Universe. The mini-series

Sturmer, Orion's dog. Tried to find an image without Orion, but none were forthcoming. Since Orion is known as the "Dog of War" it seems appropriate that he have an honorary place on this list, anyway.

Bandit from the We3 mini-series.

It's nice of io9 to get behind this series. I think this is the third (fourth, even?) article I've read regarding the character/series over the past year. It's really tough in today's market for any series to find purchase, let alone ones featuring "new" characters that lack large, long established fan bases. I hope

I'm having a hard time seeing where the spoiler is here. It's long been known that the Lizard was to be the villain of the piece. Does the studio not know that we know that?

Wow. I completely forgot that show ever existed. I think it kind of got eclipsed by Tales From The Crypt. I can't remember a single episode now. I do recall liking the show, though, while it was on. Thanks for jogging the old memory. Time to do an internet search.

That was actually my favorite episode.

You had a crush on Kevin Bacon? Now that is scary.

Johnny Depp passed away in his sleep in the first Nightmare on Elm Street film, not the first Friday the 13th film. Kevin Bacon was the famous guy who died in that one.

That's better. Reference minutes earlier comment below.

I'm shocked that Friday the 13th-The series didn't make the cut.
