That bothered me, too. It's not like the helmet obscured his face, so I can't see the actor's vanity being the problem. Loki had to wear his helmet for a great many of his scenes. No wonder he hates Thor so much.

I concur. Used to take 20-25 minutes to read the average comic book. Nowadays, I can burn through them in 5. As an artist, I can appreciate leaning heavily on the visuals to convey a story, but I feel like a lot of character development gets lost without, you know, people talking.
