The bit about “structured activities” really drives this home.

Yup! All the way down to presenting him with two options you’re already okay with and letting him think he’s making the choice when he picks apple slices over baby carrots at lunchtime!
At this point, I’d legit settle for this (very good) dog as president.
It’s like a new governess hired to manage a particularly unruly child, and using every trick in her bag to make him behave.
After watching past Ygritte and Jon scenes the lack of chemistry between Dany and Jon is really apparent.
“Readers of the books have known that things were heading towards this destination for a while.”
I don’t think he’s worried. I think he likes having an excuse for why he is unemployable in his chosen field.
I don’t know what he’s so worried about. He was never in danger of working again.
What about water with homeopathic levels of a miracle herb that will block the ill effects of vaccines? If you could make rich women believe this you’d be doing the world an enormous service.
The director and writers were being lazy, considering there were a bunch of easy fixes for Dany showing up with her dragons:
I want to come up with something that would fool rich white women and sell it on Goop but my ethics keep getting in the way. I need something that won’t cause harm yet is expensive and I can do vague claims that won’t get me in trouble.
Not to mention getting frequently beaten and sexually harassed by Joffrey/his Kingsguard until Tyrion stepped in (it’s more prominent in the books, but it definitely happened in the show). All of this while she was only 13/14 (maybe?).
Also it’s clear in the scene that Sansa had thought she successfully talked Joffrey into sending Ned to the Wall, which indeed was what was supposed to happen. When Joffrey flipped the switch even Cersei couldn’t stop him.
Ah! Thanks for posting that.
I mean...how in the world could anyone ever argue that Arya has been through more than Sansa? Sansa has been through so much shit, from mental and physical torture to constant fear of death to repeated rape by a hyper dangerous psychopath. I didn’t like her in season 1 but she absolutely grew on me because she really…
I am so mad at Arya.
ALL EXCELLENT POINTS esp re: Arya and Sansa. Honestly, every time Arya pokes at Sansa for “liking nice things” I want to be like “SHE GOT RAPED AND ABUSED IN THE HOUSE SHE GREW UP IN. LET HER HAVE SOME NICE SHIT OKAY?!”
ARE YOU ME??
In season one she decided she was too cool to behave like at least a responsible noble girl and NOT GET A PEASANT BOY IN TROUBLE, got her sister’s direwolf killed because she never bothered to train hers, and basically made her sister look bad because she was jealous of her. She’s always been spoiled and rude.
Arya was pissing me the fuck off too. She didn’t do shit when she could have. Hell, she didn’t need to kill Tywin personally, she had three wishes from a death genie that she squandered! I really hope Bran brings her back down to earth because her creepy little speeches made me think of Ramsay and Sansa will certainly…
