theres no way theres even a noticeable portion of people looking down on new players just for being bad and new, there has never been a person on this earth who walked into their first souls game an expert. what you are seeing is a reaction to people demanding the game to be something it isn’t either by non-fans or

the more complicated controls were an attempt to actually simulate the feeling of skating in real life, which requires a total mastery of muscle movement. to me it feels like the core draw of the experience. have you tried tony hawk pro skater? it seems like it would be exactly what you are looking for.

isnt most speedrunning that people are interested in mostly just using gamebreaking bugs to cheat their way into a fast clear? like it is it still cheating if the people in neon white are using in game glitches to achieve these scores?

literally all i want is a fps patch, its so hard to look at when you get used to games with 60fps.  game still looks fantastic otherwise.

biking in chicago is a delight compared to everywhere else i’ve lived, but its still complete dog shit compared to the average european city. doing nothing but spray painting a bike symbol onto the road and calling it a bike lane shouldn’t be even remotely acceptable.

one man’s trash, etc, etc,

i do hope they have a baller ice storm planet, if they nail that they can bomb with everything else and i’ll still call it a win.

i liked “im gonna take you for a ride”, thats mahvel baby

yea but you could do a skyrim dungeon in 5-10 something minutes, how do you make a whole planet feel interesting and like a whole planet while also not take 5 hours to explore?  also how do you make doing 1000 skyrim dungeons interesting while also not having to enslave the entire planet earth to work on making them?

i mean if you look at all the planets/moons just in our solar system, thats basically all there is besides big ol death balls of gas storms.

personally, i feel like the lack of a voiced protagonist is one of the few encouraging aspects to the game so far.  feels like it would loosen up the reigns on the writers if even just a little bit.  i mean new vegas didn’t have a voiced main character either.

path of exile is basically a live service game, it feels done tastefully. any of the live service stuff that is remotely well received gets rolled back into the game anyways, so you could take a couple years off and effectively not miss anything. definitely feels like it hits the d2 notes, something i had forgotten i

looks like no man’s sky with a bethesda story bolted on top, which.... who knows if thats actually a good thing.

i know im getting old when my first reaction is: there is no way they will be able to make the entirety of this feel engaging. the entire planet enslaved into working on this game would not be able to make a whole galaxy feel as meaningful as like, skyrim felt.

calm down, no need for hysterics.

whatever man, i love to see it.

how do you feel about the diablo 2 skill trees? idk i love the poe tree and all the flexibility in creating a build, it feels essential to me at this point after really getting hooked on the game. theres a really fantastic gameplay loop of a puzzle game problem solving and strategization followed by testing that

100%

so you basically you just want an arpg without the ability to create a build?

why would you not talk about the mobile gaming shit?  i don’t understand your point, it should not be discussed because its expected?
