How do you even reboot a series such as this? Doesn’t a reboot imply the the previous iterations of the series had come story consistency between them? Which they didn’t. So are they planning on changing core systems & gameplay?

If he was my horse I’d have gotten rid of him as he’s useless. Stops randomly, takes forever to navigate after calling him, doesn’t respond to commands, and gets in the way when fighting.
You’d be surprised in how many cases a more careful and stealthy approach can actually help you a lot in the game and help you trough very difficult encounters. Just take the beginning of Central Yharnam as a example.
Holy, I can’t stop laughing at this.
I remember it like it was yesterday - my first day at work. “Who the hell are you??” I thundered. “Who do you think I am??” my coworkers screamed, as we battled throughout the plant for hours. Each time I met a new cube-mate, there was an epic melee.
I’m now imagining a universe where Doom’s anger with Reed Richards stems from the time Reed rolled a natural 20 and ended up one-shotting the big bad that Doom had worked so hard on.
Doom is just the best Dungeon Master ever!
I like this one. It looks like a half eaten corpse which is kinda neat.
Just saying, I wouldn’t want that personal info on me published even for doing a good deed. Because privacy.
I agree that you’ve expressed your opinion in a civilized fashion, and commenters who don’t agree with you are wrong to call you names and hurl invective. You’re coming out way ahead in that regard. Having said that, I disagree with your position. Here’s why (with a qualifying disclaimer, I’m watching this without…
Eh, more like overwhelmed by sheer enemy types, not so much overwhelmed by the number of them. Both of the classic dooms usually never had more than 10 enemies on screen, 30 if you were unlucky.
A cinematic using the in-game engine would still technically not be gameplay.
Eh... “Too many enemies on screen” is way more close to Serious Sam than Doom. As a matter of fact, Doom: Plutonia, which had waves upon waves of monsters, was terribly received.
It’s a genre called “post-dubstep”, it’s fairly new and I see a disturbing number of people mix it up with Eletronica. It’s not Electronica and it’s not a sub-genre of Electronica.
This is Electronica (get the name of the genre right if you’re trying to defend it):
Dear lord, that’s far more terrifying than the whole thing falling off!
I’m sorry but this is what came to mind on that last one.
