IT guy, it’s the other way around with RAM. Unless you are running several VMs or heavy data/video encoding, more ram isn’t the answer(over 8 gigs), faster RAM is. You can certainly get OC’d DDR3 in the 2400-2600 range that will outperform current DDR4 on the market; I would know, I am a cat.
