Pizzolatto has tied himself in a knot with this. If Farrell is dead, he's removed the most compelling aspect of the show with all his threads unresolved. If he lives, that ending was a cheap attempt to shock the audience into tuning in next week, because Farrell surviving that is hilariously impossible. I don't care…
