Argo sucks balls

Totally. I’m always baffled at the white mediocrity and flops that Hollywood constantly pushes at us. And while I’m not going to defend Nate Parker (after I read about the rape thing) - his example certainly holds up. James Franco, Anjelina Jolie, Sean Penn, Affleck, Aniston..they’re just indulged all the time whereas

This is so great.

This is truly one of life’s great mysteries. I honestly feel a little startled when I find out he’s actually in another movie. He’s so unmemorable.

It tries to be a film that answers philosophical questions and fails pretty hard at it. God knows critics aren’t averse to gritty or ~deep~ superheros (re : Nolan Batman, Daredevil, Jessica Jones etc). But Snyder is a legitimately shitty director. He’s a joyless Michael Bay.

I just looked at the credits of the album, and he has the sole writing credits for at least 3 songs, and for co-writing on 5 others so. I mean, the album is pretty mediocre with 3 or 4 highlights in a LENGTHY tracklist, so there are actually legitimate criticisms to be made here instead of the same old old tirade

It’s You is pretty amazing. Intermission : Flower is great. She is good. Befour is good. Most of the rest is lukewarm. Pillowtalk is douchey. Few good bops. Mostly, he should tone the thirst down a little. His need to be taken seriously is really inhibiting whatever he’s trying to do (re:Pillowtalk)

The book is AWFUL. It’s like one step above Nicholas Sparks. And omg, I cannot even begin with the racism. The US people/white men are the heroes and all the black people are thugs/rapists. One of my friends wrote this pretty accurate review, and I asked the author about the book on twitter & she got all salty about

And apparently the drinks are named after plantations so....*facepalming*

It’s You is a pretty good song actually so *kanye shrug*

She is glorious. I’m so glad we’re getting an album soon (hopefully). I read an interview and she said she was trying to do this thing called the Borders Project or something. I’m so thrilled. M.I.A is so fucking good and always relevant in a genuine non-pandering way.

I’m just commenting on the things I know that were aired out in public, and based on that, I think she has been trying to do better after many years, only to have people immediately stink it up. She publicly said she regretted what happened, and got a major diss in an interview in return. I’m not saying Shonda

I’m well aware of how awesome Shonda is. I’m just saying sexism plays a part in how asshole male actors are received and asshole female actors are received. And it wasn’t just a homophobic slur or two, he made terrible remarks about it even when the affair was over. As Shonda said, people have the ability to change,

Seth Rogen actually got praised for saying the same things Heigl said when he was talking about his movie Neighbors. Heigl didn’t actually say the movie was awful or anything, just that the women were all portrayed as shrews. And then, years later, Seth Rogen is like “I just thought like, women are always shrews in

I quietly slip in his name while we’re saying grace before dinnertime.

Isaiah wasn’t immediately canned and in fact, he returned to the show for a guest appearance later. And the homophobia was against someone on set, you know. So I would say it was just as unprofessional.

God bless you, Randy

I said, I didn’t think you got what I was trying to say. As in, not that you didn’t agree with it, just that you didn’t seem to grasp my point. The only reason the shows get compared is because they’re about girls in the same city, and in the same class, although Girls is more of a upper middle class thing. They’re

or the Dennis Quaid or the Charlie Sheen or the Christian Bale or the Sean Penn, etc etc

Agreed. If I never have to read another hot take thinkpiece about millenials and Lena Dunham and an aggravatingly tone deaf reading of the show, I’ll die happy.
