I’m curious about this—you say a 40 hour story is too much by “modern standards.” Why? and what do those standards entail, exactly? I personally favor the longer games with meaty stories I can really get invested in. Games around the 10 hour or less range always feel like they end too soon. And the ones with a message

In that vein, Haruhi comes to mind. I don’t know about *better*, as I’ve only watched the first season (in broadcast/Kyon order), but it was intriguing enough that I’ve always meant to go back and watch it again in chronological order just to see how the pacing changes.

Alright, now I KNOW I’m not the only person that saw UB-01 and thought of the “mysterious girl” Lillie.

Neither could I. I only gave it a few pages, though. I remember having an “ugh, seriously? *this* is what everyone’s going crazy over??” reaction almost immediately. :/ Then after reading the synopsis, I was doubly glad I gave it a pass.

Exactly what I was thinking! I’m actually playing Dragon Age for the first time right now and *really* enjoying it.

All this waiting for Andromeda is killing me, so I decided to fire up my barely started Dragon Age: Orgins game and give it another go. I played Mass Effect first so it took me a bit to get the hang of the combat, but my need to play a Bioware RPG (read as: talk my way out of fighting and develop unhealthy romantic

The jet silhouette reminds me of a Klingon Bird of Prey (which is aweosme).

How crazy would it be if the NX turned out to be Nintendo’s (re)attempt at a VR headset? Just a thought.

Aaaand there’s the confirmation I’ve been waiting for. I don’t mind the wait, but it’s good to at least know how long I’ll be waiting! Plus, there's still Pokémon to tide me over the holidays.

I’d say it works if “superheroes” is the subject and “[who are] turning against one another” is just an added descriptor.

On the other hand, I’m tired of shallow, casually racist black movies. Usually romantic comedies with filled almost exclusively affluent black characters, and where the token white male love interest inevitably bumbles into ignorantly insulting black culture via genuine curiosity, cue emotional angst on the black

But who could forget his masterful performance in the BBC Christmas Special? (And Sense and Sensibility, of course.)

Wholeheartedly second the recommendation of Erased. The first episode twist was plainly stated in a preview summary I read before giving it a try, and I was still completely blown away by the presentation. It looks amazing.

Or just watch Kingdom of Heaven, since it's set in all the same cities.

Awesome track. Also, *Shimomura.

I learned Japanese before Chinese, and I can tell you it was definitely helpful (going both ways) but it wasn’t perfect. I like to think of Mandarin as the Old English of Japanese. Sometimes Chinese meanings have become archaic for the same character in Japanese, other times (like 学生、大学生 etc) the meaning is exactly

And this is why that PR lady’s job probably really, really sucks. Does Konami think they exist in some alternate bubble universe where none of their actions have consequences?

Careful buddy...those boards don’t work on water.

I had the same question! Ahsoka’s yellow shoto is unlocked in one of her skill trees. Otherwise, she uses two full size green lightsabers. The figure still bugs me though.
