My question was more about why it’s about “dedication to her job,” because I think the fact that she is an EMT is just a coincidence, I mean, she was going as a worried family member, she wasn’t riding in the ambulance to render aid. But now saying that I feel like I’m being Debbie Downer on this whole story, which is

My thoughts exactly. I am useless in an emergency, but I’d “rush to the scene” or hospital if my family were hurt. Couldn’t picture myself dancing and eating cake before making sure everyone was OK.

In fact, if someone elected not to rush to the aid of her or his family, regardless of the ccircumstances, then that person needs to reexamine a whole lot about their existence.

OK seriously, though — is there anyone (bride or not) who WOULDN’T rush to the side of their injured father or grandparents? I can’t even imagine getting the call and going, “Oh well, I’m sure they’ll be fine, I need to go make my grand entrance at my reception.”

As a Cub fan that keeps themselves in check, enjoys watching games with her Father (he’s a life long fan..We don’t have much in common but there is something about watching a lazy Sunday game with a bowl of chili) and tries to keep things light hearted (but still pretty fucking excited); Thank You.

Success eventually gets annoying for every successful team, particularly those in large markets. And I hate when people say “Cubbies,” and I know Wrigley has always been filled with a lot of people who

What’s the first thing a Sox Fan asks after a ball game?

I’m a life long Yankees fan. I’ve seen 5 titles in my lifetime. I’m about to turn 24. *Generations* have lived and died without seeing them clinch a series at Wrigley, let alone win a series. It has literally been 107 years. There are, like, what 200 people on earth that were even alive last time they won? They’re

He’d have to be Hall of Fame bound if the Cubs win the whole thing, right?

Let’s stop claiming that “making up the rules as they go along” is such a terrible thing. This has become such a trite criticism of anything that the person saying it doesn’t even need to elaborate further.
