Bribe a friend/a local car guy into teaching you on a a beatup truck that has gone through more previous owners than it has gears, and is still on the original clutch.
Seriously, go to a Cars & Coffee and ask around.

Why would you go for a new 2018, if you’re worried about revolving credit? I’m fairly certain you could have sold the Mustang and used the proceeds to buy a very nice used car outright.
I mentioned this last week, but a CAI that reroutes *into the wheel well* is a Bad Idea for a number of reasons (especially in the state of Michigan, where the odds of accidentally driving into a pool you thought was a minor pothole are pretty high), and I’d be surprised if the new owner of that car didn’t hydrolock…
OH NOOOOOOOOOOO THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED TO BE INTERNET FAMOUS FOR
((If anyone wants to know the whole story behind (3), here’s a link to my Kinja writeup. Spoiler: That spark plug issue that caused me to fling myself across the parking lot also ended up costing me $1,000))
To be fair, Gulfstream and GM *did* both manufacture a G6.
I know that now.
The moment I got shocked, I jumped backwards with no footing, so yes, it technically “flung” me, but only on a technicality; and someone helped me up, mostly because they were watching in amusement.
It was a metal tube replacing the plastic tube that went to the stock air box. Pointed down.
On the other end is the wheel well — pop off fender liner, install conical filter.
So I’m gonna go with a hard “no” on that bypass.
My flaming hot take is there’s nothing wrong with the Prius on principle; I wouldn’t know otherwise unless I drive one as far as accelleration/handling goes.
I *can* however attest that a 2000's Chevrolet Cobalt handles like a brick on wheels, complete with all the aerodynamics and suspension the vision entails.
That’s not very nice.
Bet they can double-clutch that tho
Apparently a couple weeks ago a bearing got loose in her water pump and it started to grenade itself from the inside out.
Still was able to put over 300 miles on it AND get it to the dealership.
The ladyfriend has a ‘07 Camry.
Easy as hell to work on/maintain, great gas mileage, comfortable on long drives.
It has a time and place.
Let’s see:
(1) I installed a CAI into my old ‘99 Pontiac Grand Am SE coupe, because it’s like the one modification I could do, it was cheap, and I was like 17.
The location? Wheel well. I’m 90% certain the next owner has hydrolocked that engine by now.
(2) I was cruising down the highway in my “new” ‘07 Mustang V6 and…
Do we have any updates on F1TV being released? Will it be out in time for this weekend?
Ask him if he’d rather you were granny shifting, not double-clutching like you should.
Why do you _need_ to replace the door locks?
I *wish* cops had to do refresher courses here.
