I agree. A lot of shows could learn a lesson from this episode for how to explain who all your characters are in a way that feels natural, not like characters are explaining things to each other that they obviously all know. The relationships and tensions between the characters played by Foster, Hawkes, and Prior…

The grifters have moved on to “AI” “art” and “writing.”
it sucks that the gop has multiple paths to victory: destroy the govt, enact their fascist policies, muck up the process to sow distrust or create disproportionate representation. Dems have only one and its the toughest: actually govern in accordance with the will of the majority.
I liked the minimalist exposition that filled in the back story for all the players. It makes them feel like people with actual lives and not just props for the protagonists. Like that little bit with Leah about “that day” that told you: She was Danvers’ stepdaughter, not her bio-daughter, that her dad died in a DUI…
A looong time ago, I was at Universal Citywalk with my parents waiting for something. As we were waiting, a promotion was kicked off for Street Fighter 2: The Ride. They asked me if I wanted free admission. So I said sure, and went on the ride.
Not gonna lie, that made me want to go watch some more “Harley Quinn” (the animated series), which absolutely would be that self-aware.
I always find that funny, as if critically lauded superhero films like The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 2, and Iron Man were strictly for critics and not for the fans. It’s only the negative-word movie that’s for the fans!
There’s certainly a metacommentary to be made about how most lower-tier supes should probably just load up on guns, but I sincerely doubt that this video game is going to stick its neck out and actually commit. It’d be hilarious if it did, though.
It’s like when a movie gets critically thrashed, so the commercials turns to random Twitter pull quotes ("I LOVE THIS MOVIE! @totallynotastan) and people getting interviewed outside of the free sneak preview they got.
If only. “AI” is too big, too easy, and too accessible to morons to go away. It’ll only keep growing.
Most of us game devs also don’t want to use gen AI voice acting. It only makes this company and executives trying to avoid paying voice actors happy.
The argument has always ostensibly been the “Crypto” angle.
It was kind of in the shitter before that, to be honest, haha.
He just showed us it was possible to take it even lower!
If a game hasn’t been written by human beings or voiced by human beings, it shouldn’t be bought or played by human beings either.
Fortnite allows Zack to have one game installed. Inside that game, because of its nature, there are tons of different games he can play depending on his mood. If he wants to play a racing game tonight...he can jump into Fortnite and do just that. Wants to play something minecraftish? He can jump into Fortnite and do…
Ah so while Fortnite is nearly instant to play unless it has patches, other games sometimes have patches to download that stop you from getting to them instantly.
