I do want to be clear and say the goal of this story was not to glorify street racing; we try to be among the first to condemn it. It has very clear and sad consequences no matter where it happens. This post was written and edited with that in mind.

Bet you’re fun at parties.
Yeah, Ford lured me in with all the performance hype in 2015-2016 prior to and around the release of the Focus RS. I thought it was the coolest thing that there was a manufacturer actively pursuing enthusiasts.
Not just the performance entry point, they’ve removed the logical entry point, period. With no cheap car, young folks won’t be thinking “Ford” at all when it comes time to buy their first car.
I KNOW! Ford really knocked it out the park with the FiST
Is that an actual question? The idiot’s not going to wear the seatbelt either way. Telling the person who hit them “It’s ok, at least they were doing something illegal” is not going to help.
Boy, I hope you copied and pasted that, I was joking :P
I couldn’t get it to work. It asked me to enter my salary...then abruptly redirected me to chrysler.com.
True. Also didn’t pull the rotary out to do it. I got it as a shell and used what I had laying around.
dudes with LS swaps are like retards with a hard on. they’ll stick it in just about anything.
I feel that is at least more unique than an LS swap. Plus you were using what you had.
I feel that way about LS swaps in general.
Yeah that was the favored setup of the British too. Certainly made packaging easy (it also helped with carbeurated engines on cold days as the exhaust heat helps keep the carb warm enough to achieve proper atomization). But yeah it’s a crappy design if you want good power.
He either forgot or he just hates Volkswagens. The Subaru isn’t any sort of “refined & educated” next to the Golf R, which is pretty much a luxury car.
ahem...
I don’t think you understand the capabilities of a 4g63.
How many of these are left? How many only have 90k miles on them? How many have largely intact interiors and most if not all of the unique bits in place?
Agreed. Also seriously under appreciated: actual working utilitarian trucks.
Bed rail hooks: SERIOUSLY underappreciated these days.
