It really depends on how much time you’ve spent reading Buzzfeed or are on YouTube.  I’m 42, and know who The Try Guys are.  I used to watch their videos a lot, and I think I might still be subscribed, but haven’t watched anything in awhile.

Not only did I feel the exact same way when I read the headline, I go through a similar period of confusion when I read about beefs between musicians.

This is basically true of any couple on social media who have over-the-top signs of affection. Just think of your friend groups, aren't those people always the ones with the worst relationships?

I suspect that’s why Ned’s instagram post makes a point to refer to his cheating as “a consensual workplace relationship;” that is absolutely lawyer-speak.

Wife Guy = immediate red flag. Men who build brands and content solely off of being a Wife Guy, I feel like its an act 9/10. Same with any content creator that makes their entire persona being any kind of Couple Goals or Perfect Family.

I watched a lot of their videos. I had no idea what any of their names are. When I saw the title of the article and the photo, I thought it was the tall guy with glasses.

To be fair, I’m a middle of the generation Xer, and I’m thinking anyone who had someone from their friend’s group plugged into BuzzFeed when it was “hot and fresh” (read, probably boosting a lot of their posts with social media ad buys,) has some awareness of their schtick.

It’s extremely easy to accidentally make a baby.

He’s the CEO and slept with an employee. He’s not fired because of the cheating, it’s the abuse of power.

I imagine his place is permanently derailed because of legal concerns. If the Try Guys employ the woman who was part of the affair, and Ned was her employer, that's already on dicey grounds. And now that the affair is exposed, the two can't keep working together unless the Try Guys are willing to trash their public

They used to work for Buzzfeed. Had a very popular video series and then left and started their own thing. Now popular YouTubers. I’d say they’re most known by the lower half of millennial or older Gen Z.

I am kind of a fan of their website and I breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn’t Keith or Eugene (it would be odd if this headline referred to him). I’m fine with Ned being replaced though I’m puzzled as to why this should permanently derail his place in the group.

What’s cray about Mulaney is he famously did not want kids, or at least he and his wife did not when together. As soon as he split, he got Olivia Munn pregnant.

This is more akin to the John Mulaney situation. Famous wife guy whose brand is “I love my wife and kids!” ends up being a grossy grosserson

No clue, but they look like an especially awful boy band. This is the first I’ve ever heard of them, so I’m not sure how this “broke the internet” as the title says.

For the Gen Xers like me - 1. who are these people? 2. Is this like our Brad cheated on Jen with Angelina?

It sounds like everyone involved is a piece of shit.

You dont hear much about the kids, i hope they are ok, and after watching the doc about the hammer family, i hope they have some role models that arent wrapped up in this money power crap

“ But, IDK I feel like we use the term incel to describe garden-variety misogyny and that gives men who are misogynists but are also having sex alot of leeway to be like: ‘well, at least I’m not that guy’.”
