There’s a long history of progressive politics in country music - Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard are just some names that come to mind. But having said that, I love that a large portion of of this generations country artists (Maren Morris, Cassadee Pope, Brandi  Carlisle, Jason Aldean…

One of the main reasons I don’t listen to country music is because it seems to represent the worst of America. I’m glad to hear that some of the new country artists are trying to change it.

I hope she goes to the show. That she could ruin the nights of a bunch of racist, sexist, hateful bigots by just showing up make me happy. Provided, of course, she feels safe, which as kick-ass as she is, she probably isn’t scared of them dumb ‘muricans.

376 good guys with guns from just about every different state and federal law enforcement agency in Texas, with military equipment including shields and other protective gear. Sat around for over an hour. Exactly ONE cop followed the active shooter protocol and approached the (unlocked) classroom where the gunman was…

There was a mass shooting where I live. There was a guy there with concealed carry who later straight up said there was no way he could have tried to stop the shooter without endangering more people because he only had a handgun versus the shooter’s assault rifle (and better position).

well obviously they were the wrong (<cough>Hispanic<cough>) “good guys with guns”, the “right” ones were the patriots who stormed the Capitol on Jan 6th. Seriously, there’s no point trying to rationalize with idiots like these, this problem can only be solved with MORE guns, and the bigger point that I’m surprised…

There were lots of people with their phones out, so maybe there is video with a better angle. Fingers crossed 🤞 

Pecora should file charges. I doubt anything would stick because you can’t actually see the kicks unless there’s video from another angle.
