God seeing all these glowing reviews of Pageant is pretty awkward now.

If you look up the Twitter of the band T-Rextasy it says that they opened for Pwr Bttm on a tour. Beforehand they were warned about Ben's prior behavior and they chose to go ahead with the tour. Now they look back on it with major regret. That sure sounds like some sound evidence to me. I mean why would they admit…
I see what you're saying. I think the intention is to say that different peoples' experiences are valid and if someone feels like untoward action occurred than they should contact them to promote an understating of the situation. But I agree that it would go against common sense that these people would contact them…
I hope so.
One of my fears about combating rape culture is that we combat it so much that people will use sexual assault allegations to try and hurt other people. It's a horrifying thought (although obviously not as horrifying as if the accusations are true) even as I hope that's the case in this instance.
Liberals being proven right over and over again by history and basic logic is not enough for some people. They have to be the MOST RIGHT LIBERAL EVER. Everything on social media is a contest from followers to likes, so now sensitivity towards minority people is a contest too.
It's okay that I think that's disgusting, right? Progressivism should not, in my opinion, be about trying to score points. Not only is it annoying but it also makes it about the person defending, not the person defended. Burn down the internet and start over.
i just looked at Twitter and it is full of people proclaiming Ben's guilt. Someone accused him second-hand of vague stuff that is easy to misinterpret from an outside perspective (and now I'm defending them even though I said I wouldn't, good going Pinata). I'm not passing judgement on if it did or didn't happen, but…
It's not as immediate as their debut but it has a lot of good tracks on it.
Oh Jay Brannan. He was the first queer male artist I listened to in earnest. He used male pronouns and he had a very nice voice, but he cannot write a non-embarrassing lyric to save his goddamn life.
In what world does that ever work or convince people of innocence? The fact that they're taking proactive steps to not invalidate anyone's right to speak or be heard is admirable, I think.
Funny because the only people who are still elitist about things like music are middle schoolers.
I was about to say that I wanted to hump this comment because I love it so much but then I realized that probably wouldn't be appropriate considering the topic at hand.
It's so, so good. It's nice to have male pronouns in queer love songs once in a while.
If someone accused me of this, I'd like to think this is how I'd respond. Immediately it would be like "Oh shit I don't remember doing anything wrong but what if I did in their perspective?"
I have no idea what to say about this. I love Pwr Bttm so I want the allegations to not be true, and their response to it suggests it isn't, but I don't think defending them is prudent considering I don't know them or anything about the situation. Either way it breaks my heart.
David and Keith had no chemistry and just fought the entire length of the series. In fact I'd say that all the couples on Six Feet Under were ugly in the sense that no one was selfless enough to love another person.
He really is horrible. Yet I watched all of Celebrity Family Feud on Hulu last year because he is also incredibly entertaining.
Oh me neither (although Colbert's relationship to theatre is a little tenuous). But from a PR standpoint it's probably not a good idea.
I felt that way about Arrow and The Flash at the beginning of last season so I stopped watching and just caught up with it on Netflix. Having time away from a series is sometimes necessary to keep it in perspective (which is why I haven't caught up on Orange is the New Black yet).
