Found Milton.
Found Milton.
Well, besides the fact they make underperforming and overpriced cosplay accessories for weekend pirates/leather daddies.
So the thing is, de Blasio wasn’t ever running for President. He was running to collect checks that he can then keep for other political purposes. In that reagard the Wilpons achieved what was always intended: Giving him money for ‘future considerations.’
I’ve never been in a Kia dealership, but it is my understanding that your experience there is typical for them.
Bonilla Day, a recognized federal holiday, is July 1st, every year until 2035. Get your shit together.
“I can give you a quote and potentially lose the sale, or I can refuse to give a quote, and definitely lose the sale.
Still less than they paid Bobby Bonilla on September 19.
One thing I’d say about the refusal of car dealers to provide written OTD estimates:
“Give me the price that if someone beats it, you don’t feel like you lost.”
It’s a wonder gas stations can ever stay afloat, what, with their prices advertised so prominently and all.
This crap only works because people won’t stand up to it. It’s so frustrating. I’m in a tangentially related industry, Tom. We do sourcing and reverse auction pricing for municipalities and large companies. We’ve bought everything from mayonnaise, to disposable shoes for prisoners, to fleet vehicles. There is one…
I think that is inaccurate- they are playing a game. Sales is very much a game, it even has a point system. Everyone who does it knows they are playing it.
Several years ago, my wife was shopping for a new car. She put together a spreadsheet (she loves spreadsheets) before we went to the dealers. She showed the spreadsheet to one of the salesmen, and he just handed over the keys for us to take the test drive ourselves. He didn’t wanna waste his time on a well-informed…
But what’s the alternative? Me taking my business elsewhere. Either you might lose my business through me shopping around, or you will lose my business by not giving me what I ask for. Which one gets you a better chance of making money?
Not sure about you but I don’t need Tom to tell me.... I have a blanket-style pessimism and I have NEVER been wrong.
“You won’t buy from me if you can compare my price to others’ prices.”
That's exactly right.
I don’t know whether to laugh or get mad at these responses. It’s almost like they don’t want to sell to informed consumers who do their prep, rather take advantage of the sucker who walks in the door with absolutely no clue.
More reasons the dealership model needs to adapt or perish.
“I’m going to look hard in the next couple of days but we’ve got the guys in the locker room to get it fixed.” - Carson Wentz, consulting with trainers after falling for the “Cialis in the water bottle” trick once again.
