Goddamn, technology is inherently political. When you say you want politics out of your tech blog, what you mean is that you want your default political position to stand unchallenged.

This is my new favorite thing: “Eye-Surgeon” reads a political blog on Gizmodo (which is why there should be political blogs on Gizmodo, because it draws readers), then leaves a comment supporting his own viewpoint on a political blog on Gizmodo (which is why, etc., because it generates reader engagement), then gets

Bullshit. Everything is political or has a political consequence (Politics= Everything related to the individual). So if your thin skin can’t take it, quit society.

ICE was created in 2003. Abolishing ICE doesn’t mean abolishing all law enforcement. It means abolishing an institution that’s reckless and systematically abuses human rights.

this aggressively apolitical stance is a typical Silicon Valley pose but I think you’ll find that VCs, tech bosses, and lots of techies are actually anything but apolitical. Palantir, Peter Thiel, the commonly held belief that “what we really need to do is Taskrabbit and Uber-ize the government”... or on the other

Technology is political. Sorry dork.

Nobody has ever proposed “open borders’ in my lifetime. That is fox news bullshit cut and dry.

I hope this doesn’t fail miserably. I hope it fails just enough that Vince can be persuaded to keep dumping money into it until he’s fucking broke.

Our economics professor back in college said it best: Anyone that has earned over $50 million as either done something illegal or immoral to get there.

I’ve never forgotten that.

Within this discussion belongs the information, that, seen from a worldwide perspective, the US does not have a real “left” wing in politics.

Ya god like cure cancer already doofus.

This bullshit argument could be made of anyone playing any video games, so if you believe that, then what the fuck are you doing on a video-game reporting site? I shudder to think of what other, far more fulfilling things you could’ve done with your precious and well spent time than read this article.

Monetized or not, a good general rule is to not judge how others spend discretionary time & money.

Given he's a streamer he's no doubt been making money in all those hours spent with this game. Seems like that makes those hours more fulfilling and more productive than any gaming you've done in the last five years.

There is almost nothing sadder than when your GOAT dies in XCom. Especially if it is because some rookie panicked and dropped all his grenades.

Yeah, I mean, if all that’s true, then I’m all for it.

Rhonda Rousey is still a shithead, but I would say that particular thing might have just been out of ignorance. Normally I’d say that’s no excuse, but this is still new territory to a lot of people, so she gave a response that seems logical and is probably to be

lol is this like a parody post about dumbass gamers or is this you being a dumbass.

Are you bizarro me? I literally balked at the headline, then got through the first paragraph before just sitting there with a scrunched up =/ face because OOF... Did not know this stuff about Rousey and yeah, forget that noise.  Don’t glorify a hurtful jerk.

Yeah, I’d definitely rather focus on the fact that she shared, like, a thing implying that grieving parents’ pain was false then the fact that she’s not the best voice actor.

Jacoby Bissett has started 2 games for the Patriots and 15 for the Colts, he's black.
