I know, but what are comments sections for if not cheap laugh lines. I do somewhat agree with the premise that smaller media companies can do different, riskier, and sometimes more interesting things than larger ones, but on the other hand, there are lots of things larger ones can do that smaller ones can’t.

Hey, I kinda liked Blade: Trinity.

And really, why would they lie?

Good news: that comment is at the top (at least that’s where i see it).

I find that usually 49 of them install in 30 seconds and there’s like one that takes 5-7 minutes. Maybe there was a couple that were bigger, but I don’t feel like I’m usually waiting that long.

2-4 *hours*? When I update VB it takes 20 minutes at the most.

Is this different than the ATC Amazing Jonathan Doc that went up on YouTube a couple months ago?

Right, but someone could have the same opinion about their book or their play or whatever - I’m not sure why “being a comic” makes that opinion any more sacrosanct than the hundreds of other content creators who have sworn up and down they would never allow their work to be made into a movie but eventually capitulated.

1. Large population.

Yes because comic books are never made into movies? Why would being a comic prevent it from being made into a movie?

That also happened to my wife.

I think you are underestimating the effect of millions of dollars...

I mean, yes? When I was a kid I would shoplift (not proud of it, but it was mostly candy and bric-a-brac and it was 30+ years ago). At no point would I have remotely considered breaking into homes or armed robbery.

Honestly I’m glad *someone* is listening to her.

See for me the big taste distinction in coffee is if the beans were ground pretty close to when the coffee was made. Which kind of beans doesn’t really matter too much (I mean, different ones taste different, but freshly ground beans is what makes it taste good), and also I have never for the life of me been able to

Does butter and coffee make you shit your pants more than cream in your coffee?

Brandon Routh was on Chris Hardwick’s podcast a year or two back and he was going on and on about it.

I would think that the spirit of the rule would be violated if the 2nd and 3rd runners “tied” this way to try to both go. Them holding hands did nothing to change the results. If this was for some kind of standings, sure, but unless I’m missing something #1 and #2 have the exact same value in this context.

Yeah, I was going to say something similar. The fact that Unspooled is unapologetically filtered through Paul and Amy’s personal attachments to the movies and people involved in them is what makes it interesting to me. I can understand why someone wouldn’t like it, but I don’t find it inconsistent.

Also some very good interviews on Unspooled. Nicholson’s interview of Cary Grant’s daughter in the Bringing Up Baby episode was great.
