I mean, Critical Role is kind of slog punctuated with memorable moments too (at least season 1 is - maybe it feels more polished in later seasons - I just can’t commit to consuming that much content). They have funny people who are playing to the camera/mics, yes, but it never felt overly scripted to me.

I remember liking them when I was in high school, but I liked all sorts of terrible shit in high school. Based on what I remember it seems like it might feel a bit too derivative of Lord of the Rings.

Hah. Irons performance really makes this one of my favorite bad movies. It’s just very “well, this is terrible, so fuck it, let’s have fun.”

Also the Agents of Shield choreo - the two biggest ass-kickers on the show are women and they use that move quite a bit.
