Wat?
Wat?
This is a good idea.
Yeah, it was mixed so I could just barely pick it out in snippets during the fight scene (“wait, did they just say ‘shit balls’?”). Having the isolated version at the end was pretty great.
RYAN REYNOLDS IS DEAD?
Counterfactuals are, of course, hard to suss out. You may well be right. The best case that can be made for the Ford argument is possibly South Africa, where a policy of not persecuting the people who had committed crimes as least as great as Nixon’s led to a relatively smooth (though of course not perfect) transition…
As the onion likes to point out “No way to prevent this, says only country where this regularly happens.” Sigh.
Yes, but that’s not what she’s complaining about. She’s pretty clearly saying that people are saying “no, you just don’t understand the scripts you are reading” which she points out that she does, in fact, have more information than them, which is dickish. She’s not complaining about every time someone discusses a…
Otoh, I kinda liked Avenue Q, so...maybe?
I assume he’s referring to the DNC pushing Clinton over Sanders. The idea that that is somehow analogous to colluding with an antagonistic foreign power is ludicrous.
Pardoning Nixon is an interesting case. There’s a legit case to be made that dragging the country through a long trial of an ex-president would have been even more toxic. That might be rationalization, but I think the case has some merit.
I’m sorry, did you really just conflate the DNC trying to push for what they believed to be a more electable candidate (e.g. something every party organization since the dawn of party organizations has done to some degree) with conspiring with a fucking foreign power?
Not to downplay the horror of this at all, but the chances that an individual student will be a victim of a school shooting are still really really tiny. Of course, there could still be a psychological impact analogous to getting on a plane after 9-11.
Do you know why MLS stopped doing it this way? Just because “wah tradition that’s not soccer” or was there an injury concern?
Oh man, I’d never seen that. That seems *so* much better - akin to penalties in hockey, which feel much more like they game they are taking place in. I wonder if there’s some concern of injury. I could see a keeper getting brained if they dive right into a striking foot.
So, umm, don’t watch it? Like why would you want the rumor to be false?
I believe it is Harvys Birdman, Generals Attorney
Logical fallacy. Just because there exists one man for whom “likes big butts” and “cannot lie” are both true, there is no evidence those conditions are correlative.
If only those were available elsewhere on the internet. :P
The whole point is to understand how both sides are argued to be able to argue the side you choose correctly. “You are wrong lalalalala” is not an effective debating technique even if you have the moral high ground.
Mythbusters did a thing where they cooked a thanksgiving dinner in a car while they drove 3-4 hours. I think they broke down the turkey first and if I recall some pieces cooked through, but others, not so much.
