One of the most terrifying things about the GOP/Conservatives to me is how successful they have been in convincing people that they have to be “loyal” to them and that changing parties is somehow a huge betrayal even if the GOP espouses things they find personally repugnant.

Note sure what point you are making here. Valuing education and intelligence vs. complaining about wanting things dumbed down for you do not split along ethnic lines. Keanu was recently interviewed by Hardwick on the Nerdist podcast, and my impression is that he’s just kind of a boring guy (and I mean that in the nicest possible way) who loves his work and just wants to relax or ride his motorcycle when he’s not working. A bit like Harrison Ford in that respect.
