Sorry, I did lose track of the fact that you were not the OP and it sounds like we mostly are in agreement. I’ll go have that drink now :)

No, I started my argument with “the internet allowed (for example) gay, lesbian, and trans kids in rural areas who had everyone telling them they were evil sinners to realize that they were not alone and that (to borrow the phrase) it would get better”. It also makes it harder for racist organizations to lurk in the

Umm, we were talking about how the internet had empowered white racists to come together and make President Trump happen. Or even if you don’t want to connect that dot, we were talking about how ‘reality is fractured’ for all these Americans because of the Internet (your words).

True, but jest telling people “you will die” is probably better than saying “hey if you think you can tell how hungry a bear is by looking at him, give it a whirl.”

“This is fucking hilarious. How many idiot liberals are going to come to this article looking to hail the all great James Clapper because he is protesting the election of Donald Trump.”

You’re right. No racist demagogue had ever come to power before the internet.

And...you’re OK with this?

Sure. So is “human’s ability to speak and write”.

Yes, but that’s pretty different from if he was 8 years older, already married, and a co-worker who probably had power over her career if he wanted it.

That’s ‘cuz you’re *so dumb*.

Can we think those men are creepy assholes? Good.

More so than her. I mean American Graffiti was a hit and he’d been a working actor for over 10 years.

>The internet has destroyed our communities, our future, and our souls.

Yeah, but the Trump enthusiasts don’t really have a hard on for Pence. If it looks like the ‘establishment’ GOP pushed Trump out it’s going to be interesting.

Jesus he’s like the evil Patton Oswalt from the mirror dimension.

Yeah, I did Nazi that coming.

The article is *about* government agencies under Trump. The VA serves around 6.5 million people a year. Saying it “sucks” is uselessly reductive - it certainly has massive problems, but to pretend an agency that serves that many people who are that vulnerable can’t get worse under an uncaring or incompetent

I assert that a vote for Trump was a vote for “burn it down” (government programs in general, not the VA specifically).

Sure, there are plenty of dysfunctional screwed up things that happen in government - the VA has had some very public screwups in that area, but only a 12-year-old responds to that by saying “JUST BURN IT ALL DOWN THEN”, especially when what you are burning down is ostensibly there to help some of the most vulnerable

He has made it abundantly clear like 20 times that he is in no way punishing his child. He is no longer obligating her to spend time with hateful people she dislikes simply because she’s genetically related to them. Not sure how many times he has to say it.
