I’ve been a spokesperson for public companies for many years, and the same applies. Lying will get you sent to jail, or your company subjected to a shareholder lawsuit. Making stuff up on the fly counts as lying.

I expect him to choose relatively defenseless people, like Peter Strzok. That’s what makes him particularly evil - he’s threatening (with jail, or protracted legal battles (and expenses)) essentially innocent people who were just trying to do their jobs.
