Totally agree - this is exactly why diversity in the workplace is so important.

Re. Trump’s tweet, I guess “Taoiseach” is too hard to spell.

Yes, I can honestly tell you I knew of that word before he used it, and I can honestly tell you that I’ve used it. It’s the perfect word for him. Just because it’s new to you does not mean it’s new to the rest of us.

And what a ridiculous position to take - that I think Trump is a dotard, therefore I’m an ally of Kim!

Totally agree. That argument, on its own, is completely sufficient. Everything else is just a rabbit hole.

“Dotard” is the perfect word to describe him. It’s not a word in common usage, but it’s not archaic.

It’s worth listening to Charen’s interview on the NYT “Daily” podcast this morning. She comes across as a little less one-dimensional than people would like to portray her here. Although we’d likely continue to disagree with her on many, many issues.

To be fair, this is entirely consistent. Bump stocks reduce the risk of repetitive strain injury for socially awkward men, whereas porn...

The road that goes down the west side of Manhattan, along the Hudson, is Hwy 9A, The Henry Hudson Parkway, 12 Av, The West Side Highway, 11 Ave, and West Street. I thought it was named after a baseball player as well, but I can’t find proof of that. It’s maybe 12 miles long.

Isn’t there something about how NDAs are unenforceable if they are used to cover up a crime?

You’re conflating oral healthcare with cosmetic dentistry. There’s a much greater emphasis on cosmetics here in the U.S. I’m a Brit who has lived in the U.S. for the last 18 years, and am still self-conscious about my teeth.

To be fair, Trump and Moore sound neither sorry nor contrite.

The Republican would also have denied it ever happened, threatened to sue the accuser, and probably thrown in some slut-shaming for good measure.

Without hyperbole, an organization that is helping a criminal avoid the consequences of his crime is enabling him to commit more crimes. I would have thought that, in and of itself, was criminal. If you do it more than once, it’s even worse, of course, but once should be enough.

The invocation of faith in these situations always pisses me off. It’s there because he wants us to believe that his faith makes him a better person (specifically, a better person than someone of no faith).

The only god that Trump has ever sincerely worshipped is Mammon.

It’s so public now that he’d be insane to sue her for breaking the NDA. His reputation is in tatters, he’s toxic, but he can still make it worse by suing her. He wouldn’t be able to go out in public again (even assuming he stays out of jail).

Now playing

It still blows my mind how successful Trump was at that. A hereditary billionaire who lives in a literal gold tower becomes the champion of the common man? I don’t want to blame them for being fooled by a con man, but it’s hard not to be reminded of this:

She’s right. They knowingly enabled a sexual predator. There’s no-one else in the company who could do that without being fired.

Agreed - you could put being against gay marriage in that category, too.
