That's all very fascinating, professor. Scrawler brought up the race issue. Not me. She said her friend's husband liked one commercial and not the other because of race. My argument is that race is one way (out of many) that one can identify with a character in a commercial or movie or whatever.

No I do understand that. There are lots of different ways one identifies with characters. But race is one of them. If it weren't, there wouldn't be a call for more diversity in film and television.

You're just brushing off valid concerns raised in all those articles by claiming any institution is going to have flaws. That's what this temporary ban is aimed at addressing. It is in place in order to take a comprehensive look at those flaws in order to fix the problems.
