Here's an article about the holes in the vetting process from none other than the Huffington Post:

Ok most of that is bullshit.

Nice non-argument.

I didn't say I was afraid of sharia law being established in the US, you dunce. I was saying that it cannot be reconciled with western values. It will always be problematic to bring in a population that supports it into the US.

Ok but there are immigrant populations who are less likely to assimilate and support American values. Many refugees come here because they had to escape violence and are not here because they love America.

We were involved in pushing the Arab Spring. We've armed, trained, and helped the rebels. Why Syria? There are other leaders around the world who are more brutal than Assad. We are even allied with some of them.

You realize there are people coming from these temporarily banned countries who literally want to
burn non-Muslims alive, right?

Why is it our responsibility to extend extra comforts to them? Why are we even involved? Oh yeah I forgot: The policies of the Obama administration. Anyone care to inform me of some extremely noble reason that we got involved in the Syrian conflict in the first place? It gets a little more complicated when you have to

In terms of the Syrian immigrants, I would imagine the process of making it to the US is difficult. I'm not sure how that works. But under the pre-Trump system, once they got here, there was a whole industry set up to make life easy for them. They were given cash, housing, medical care, and other benefits paid for by

"Caught visiting home"

You must work in marketing.

Well they're not quite dots and you don't really dip them… so to answer your question I have no idea.

I already mentioned that The AV Club comment section has countless examples.

I'm not saying it's primarily a liberal problem either. You're the one who was making broad generalizations, not me. What I am saying is that bigotry is a problem on both sides. The difference is that the left likes to think of themselves as the side of tolerance while at the same time frequently showing zero

If you think bigotry is primarily a conservative problem, go back and read some comments in any Trump article on this website.

If anyone is a tool of the system, it is probably the person who believes the left's narrative that anyone who doesn't share their ideological stance is a racist, bigot, or homophobe.

Hey there, Genius. That's cool that you work in IT. I bet you're a real smart computer guy. Did you actually read that report? There were quite a few experts who did and said it was bogus or at the very least problematic. Oh yeah and did you read the disclaimer at the top of the report: "The Department of Homeland

Why didn't you post your "And?" reply to the comment that I mirrored. That's my point. Thanks for helping me make it.

I think my implication was more that the AV Club selectively covers non pop culture stories that push a specific narrative. Something along the lines of some awful: "why are you picking on us liberals/non whites/etc look conservative white males did bad things!!" shit.

Apparently most news outlets think so. Even the real ones.
