It’s very tough to compare. I would say that FFXIV has a LOT more care and attention to world building and story than WoW. Basically WoW is 40% grinding, 45% good gameplay and 15% story. For me, FFXIV is more like 30% grinding, 40% story and 30% good gameplay.

Congrats! One of the greatest joys I have come to learn in my adult life is just having the freedom to enjoy the things you like and not caring about what other people think. I’m not a fan of the game, but I can understand the feeling of just having something that you enjoy on a very personal level.

On the DS, there was this game called Final Fantasy The 4 Heroes of Light. It was hilarious and I was enjoying it very much but never finished it.
