One of the best episodes in long time. A B+ is a clear disgrace to the level of enjoyment I got from watching it.

you mean microcosm?

Coffee Town is actually quite funny. More funny than most of the 'comedies' which are playing theaters.

Wasn't Phil pretending to be some Nordic/Danish diplomat or something like that to Annelise? And I think the ISI guy realized when Annelise shushed him that someone was listening in on the room. So when immediately after he killed her, someone conspicuously entered the locked(?) room, he clearly knew that it was the

Was it six dollars, or a six-pack?

I know it was a setup. I'm just saying that Lester did make a call, and only knew for sure that Malvo was in the room when he stepped into the bear trap Lester had planted there beforehand.

Thought so as well. But when you see Lester sitting in the bathroom after those shots fired by him and Malvo, you can see the chord of a telephone in the background, indicating that Lester was calling the police and got alarmed by the presence of Malvo only when Malvo stepped into that bear trap.

This. When I first saw the Volkswagen driven by Lester, I thought: ok, some product placement is understandable. But then the red BMW was also featured prominently when Malvo entered town, which I found strange, given the fact that companies normally use product placement in shows/movies exclusively. So, evil people

I don't agree with your observation on the kid's age. He looks to me around 10, at least. However, Peggy's attachment to him could be grounded in the lost kid she gave up, though it doesn't really seem like she's that attached to him (no physical contact like holding his head, as far as I can see).

I can think of Lost. But you're right, PoI is still quite adept at crafting well-balanced backstories to its characters.

I'm Dutch myself, and these are just tweets run through Google Translate.. a shame.

Thanks a lot man, was looking for this!

The hand he was dealt with corresponded to his room number, which he showed by taking out his room card.

True, that one was pretty funny as well. :)

I find it shocking that no one mentioned the funniest joke made in this episode. The ´recycled kid´ Lilly joke. That was the only times in weeks I have laughed while watching this show.

Dude, that would be so awesome!

Actually, he did use a Dutch command this episode (I'm Dutch myself). When Reese enters the library, and Bear sprints towards him, Reese says 'Af', which means 'Off' (and also has a similar pronunciation). ;)
